As Eleanor Roosevelt said, great minds talk about ideas; small minds talk about people. What do you and your significant other talk about? If you constantly hit the heavy stuff, you're probably happier than if you spend time gossiping about your neighbors or coworkers.

A recent study published in Psychological Science says that people are happier when they spend more time discussing meaningful topics than engaging in small talk. Seventy-nine college students had their conversations recorded and analyzed by researchers, who distinguished between chit-chat about the food or the weather and discussions about philosophy, education, or religion. Subjects who reported the greatest amount of satisfaction spent only 10 percent of their conversation on small talk, while the unhappiest subjects kept 28.3 percent of their talking time in the shallow end.

Among the scores of substantive topics people discuss, we've come up with nine that we believe couples should relish during heart-to-hearts:

1. Embarrassing moments. If you can't share the awkward, "American Pie"-worthy moments that occurred throughout high school with your partner, who can you tell them to? Don't be afraid to broach the subject, if you haven't already. We wouldn't be surprised if their stories are more horrifying than yours.

2. Political viewpoints. How do you feel about the new healthcare bill? You don't have to agree with each other, but you do need to keep an open mind. A good relationship allows both parties to discuss their own philosophies without taking the opposition personally.

3. Fears and insecurities. By fears, we don't mean your phobia of earthworms. We're talking about things that make you wake up with gray hairs. What worries you? What do you want to improve in yourself? What skeletons are in your closet? In being vulnerable, you risk judgment, but more importantly, you chance being understood.

4. Childhood. Ask your partner what he or she was like as a kid. Did she make friends easily? What kind of games did he like to play? Did he have trouble in school? Childhood memories make for fun conversations, but they can also lend insight into how your main squeeze became the person he or she is today.

5. Past relationships. This is a touchy one because no one wants to hear the person they're with spouting sonnets about an ex. There is, of course, a difference between longing for (or being bitter over) the past and simply acknowledging what happened. With enough practice, seasoned, happy couples learn how to address why past relationships ended without inadvertently comparing their current partner to an old flame.

6. Family life. Knowing a person's upbringing and relationship with his or her parents is paramount to understanding his current attitude toward family. If you're even slightly contemplating a future with this person, it might help to ask how well they get along with their parents. Why does she resent her mother? Why is he closer to his sisters than to his brothers? How does she handle family gatherings?

7. Current events. Thanks to the overflow of information, it's nearly impossible to stay up-to-date on everything going on around us. Here's where teamwork comes into play: Ask your partner about his interests, be they economics or regional politics, and see if you can't learn a thing or two. Who knows, maybe you'll help him develop an interest in international affairs or science news.

8. TV and movies. Compared to politics and personal fears, entertainment might seem pretty shallow, but discussions about movies can fall into the "deep" category if you focus on character motivations and plots rather than on, say, the cute leading actors.

9. The future. Talking about the future can be nerve-wracking. While we're not saying you should pressure your partner into talking about plans for marriage and children, we do believe that you should know their dreams, goals, and aspirations. What is he working toward? What drives her to succeed? Where does he see himself in five years? Someone who desires growth and is not afraid of the unknown is surely dynamic enough to deserve you.

10 Things NEVER to Do on a Cruise

Roughly 35 million people take a cruise ship holiday every year and spend upwards of $60 billion dollars. Maybe it’s the appeal of only having to unpack your suitcase once, or the idea that you travel from destination to destination while you sleep, maximizing your precious vacation time. But yes, cruising can be fun. Of course, there are the occasional accidents, illnesses, crimes and mysteries – with that many people onboard in somewhat cramped quarters, how could there not be? Also, being out on the open ocean has its inherent risks. But for those who don’t care to fly or who have their grandmothers in tow, cruises are a solid, family friendly option, as long as you follow a few simple rules.

NEVER: Touch a Bible!

No one is judging you for your piety or lack thereof, but Bibles were among the items replaced in cruise ship cabins after multiple outbreaks of the Norwalk virus from 2002 to 2007. The Norwalk virus is named after Norwalk, Ohio, the town where the earliest documented cases over thirty years ago. Though the symptoms are rarely life-threatening, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea for up to three days is no picnic on the high seas. The Holland America line got serious about debugging their ships and enlisted 600 crew and subcontractors supervised by Harvard School of Public Health epidemiologist Megan Murray. Everything touched by hands that might have carried the virus—from Bibles to poker chips, railings to remote controls—had to be sanitized to a temperature of 170 degrees or thrown out.

NEVER: Rock the boat.

Much in the same way passengers are required to be on their best behavior in-flight, despite unnaturally cramped quarters and access to booze, if you're traveling aboard a cruise ship, the same rules apply. Despite the image of drunken and disorderly behavior running rampant, cruise lines often hire former military and police officers for their private security forces. These guys are no pushovers, as seven idiots discovered in 2008 when they were arrested on P&O Arcadia for literally smuggling a boatload of heroin onto the ship. And here's something to keep in mind before you decide to get romantic on a deserted deck—hidden surveillance cameras security allow personnel, officers, staff and crew to visually monitor virtually every area of the ship. Do you really want your vacation highlights to be caught on tape?

NEVER: Assume those pirates are part of the entertainment.

Not all pirates are "of the Caribbean." Though Somali pirates, who generally operate in small bands, usually choose more modest targets (like less populated naval ships), there was a cruise ship attacked by these scoundrels in Gulf of Aden (near Oman) in 2008. Though that was a scenario akin to Chihuahuas attacking a Great Dane, anyone who has ever met a viscous Chihuahua knows, they have sharp teeth. Or in this case, very big guns. Somali pirates have collected an estimated $200M in ransom money since 2008, so you can understand why they are motivated. But the good news is that 15 countries are now cooperating to police these waters.

NEVER: Fall overboard

Sound obvious? You'd be surprised how many people end up overboard. Earlier this week, a man and his companion were too busy kissing to think about the danger the open window behind them posed and they both ended up falling overboard. Even if you survived the fall (in this case the female did, the man did not), you'll be contending with the force of a floating hotel creating suction and a massive wake. Consider that the Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas ship is a floating skyscraper at 237 feet high and 1,112 feet long and carries 4,000 passengers. Even if you're stone cold sober, a sudden tilt of the boat could occur, as it did in 2007 when a Crown Princess ships autopilot malfunctioned and bowed so far to one side, passengers reported that the pool was half empty when it came back upright.

NEVER: Surf those pool waves.

Notice that there are suddenly monster waves inside the ships’ usually placid pool? It's probably not a good idea to grab a boogie board and jump in, unless you’re prepared to paddle all the way back to land. All cruisers have tales of rocking and rolling aboard even the largest, most stable ships—it’s the ocean equivalent of airplane turbulence. But akin to fastening your seatbelts, you’re better off heading inside while the crew battens down the hatches. Eating in those conditions is asking for it, so skip the buffet. Lying down may rock you to sleep or just make you more aware of the tilting movement. So instead, hit the ships’ disco. There is something about line dancing or doing the electric slide on a moving dance floor that really should not be missed. It's like a rhythmic fun fair ride for adults!

NEVER: Ignore that "sinking" feeling.

Your spirits may be soaring with vacation endorphins, but don’t ignore those animals instincts if sense something is wrong. With modern technology and the monitoring of the international seas, it is very unlikely, that a Titanic situation could happen again on a major cruise line. Still, it does happen occasionally, as the Sea Diamond demonstrated when it hit rocks and began listing off the coast of the Greek Island of Santorini in 2007. There was a dramatic three-hour rescue effort, which involved Greece's military, commercial ships and the island's local fishermen. No one was hurt, but the ship did sink, 15 hours after the accident. No doubt that put a real cramp in the guests' holiday plans, but if you have to be shipwrecked someplace, lovely Santorini (remember the 1983 movie Summer Lovers?) isn’t too shabby.

NEVER: Assume that what happens on land, stays on land.

Even though casinos abound on many ships, a cruise is not Las Vegas. Not only does everything that happens on the cruise have consequences, but don’t think that just because you’re sailing at sunset, you can leave chaos and destruction in your wake. Your stops may be brief and feel like a treasure hunt scramble, but the locals aren’t just props in your play. Three couples arrested in the Caribbean in 2008 learned this lesson the hard way after squabbling with a taxi driver who had given them a rushed tour of the island. In a hurry to get back to the ship, they refused to pay. Oops. Not only were they apprehended (um, the police knew exactly where to find them) and subsequently missed the boat, but they had to spend the night in spent the night in a not-so-deluxe, no-meals-included jail cell.

NEVER: Lose track of time off the ship.

You only have a few hours in Rome, and no, its clearly not enough to hit the major sites, BUT, remember that you’re on a cruise. Think of it as a tasting menu—you can always go back to the places you really like. Whatever happens, keep an eye on the clock and be sure to get back to the ship on time. Outside of the US and Canada, the ship will actually sail away and leave you. It will be up to you to pay for flights, trains, taxis, hotels and meals until you can find your own way to catch up with the ship (say, if you’re left in Rome, you might have to get yourself to Athens in a hurry which will be pricey). Or, you might be required to hire a speedboat to catch up with the cruise ship and do a James Bond type high-speed boat jump. Scary. As for domestic and UK cruises, ships are obligated to wait for non-returning passengers and sometimes charge hefty fees to latecomers. And you can just imagine what the hundreds of other passengers, who painstakingly made it back on time, will be standing on the decks and saying about you.

NEVER: Go AWOL

As pretty as your stopover and the residents of the island may be, its a very bad idea to just decide to go AWOL and just stay on island. If you disappear from the ship, the cruise line is obligated to stage a search. If the person is not quickly found on board the vessel, then the vessel must return to the last location where the person was seen—land or sea. Needless to say, they may assume you fell overboard. About 5 people a year do for a variety of reasons, but have often been rescued, even after hours have gone by. When someone goes missing, it's a very serious situation (thank stars), in part because if cruise line fails to perform a reasonable search and rescue, it may be held liable for the passenger's disappearance. So maybe it's your dream come true to live in Aruba, fish and run a fish fry shack and once you get there, you can’t wait a second longer. Fine—just go through the proper channels and notify them that you’re not lost, just abandoning ship.

NEVER: Ignore the safety briefings.

A floating resort with multiple passenger decks, pools, restaurants, theaters, gyms, spas, nightclubs and casinos it may be, but a cruise ship is still a boat out on the open water. Sudden storms and rouge waves similar to the one made famous in Sebastian Unger’s book The Perfect Storm are an unlikely but still possible phenomena. Passengers aboard the Norwegian Dawn report being hit by rogue wave 7-stories tall during an otherwise typical sail in 2008. It says a lot that the ship stayed upright—after all, modern cruisers are basically the size of small island nations. But you may want to actually pay attention to the safety briefings before and during your sail, and have a general sense of where your loved ones are enjoying themselves.

THE RULE OF LAW

The rule of law, also called supremacy of law, simply means that the law is above everyone and it applies to everyone. Whether governors or governed, rulers or ruled, no one is above the law, no one is exempted from the law, and no one can grant exemption to the application of the law.

Friedrich Hayek in his book, ”The Constitution of Liberty” (1961), wrote: “By ‘law’ we mean the general rules that apply equally to everybody… As a true law should not name any particulars, so it should especially not single out any specific persons or group of persons... the rules must apply to those who lay them down and those who apply – that is, to the government as well as the governed – and that nobody has the power to grant exceptions.”

There are two important implications for this. One, the laws should be very transparent and clearly worded so that all mature citizens would clearly understand what are strictly prohibited and the penalties associated with violating the laws. And two, the laws and prohibitions should be as few as possible. Both citizens and law enforcers can easily remember them and people can grow in freedom, in an environment of very few restrictions and prohibitions.

Rule of law can also be viewed as a general legal maxim according to which decisions should be made by applying known principles or laws, without the intervention of discretion in their application.[2] This maxim is intended to be a safeguard against arbitrary governance. The word "arbitrary" (from the Latin "arbiter") signifies a judgment made at the discretion of the arbiter, rather than according to the rule of law.[3][4]

Generally speaking, law is a body of rules prescribed by the state subject to sanctions or consequences.[5] The predominant view is that the concept of "rule of law" per se says nothing about the "justness" of the laws themselves, but simply how the legal system operates.[6][7] As a consequence of this, a very undemocratic nation or one without respect for human rights can exist with a "rule of law" — a situation which may be occurring in several modern dictatorships. The "rule of law" or Rechtsstaat may be a necessary condition for democracy, but it is not a sufficient condition

The idea behind the principle is that everybody is equal before the law of the land.

Independent of the judiciary:

The judiciary should be independent from the other organs of the government to discharge their work effectively. It further stated that immunity should be given to the judges for effective discharge of their duty, but I argue this, under the Rule of Law, no one should be immune to charges. Those of us that have lived in the third world countries no this.

Justice should not be delay:

Justice delay in legal parlance is termed justice denied. Justice should not be delay.

Judicial Impartiality:

The judiciary shoud be impartial in discharging their duty.

Free and Fair Election:

the election in the state should be free and fair.

LIMITATION OF THE RULE OF LAW

The following are the limitation to the rule of law in my country:

Diplomatic Immunity:

The ambassadors representing another country cannot be arrested in the country his or she is discharging their duty.

The immunity also covered them from been detained in the country where they are discharging their duty.

Immunity of the head of state and government:

This principle specifically said that the head of state should not be prosecuted for any offences, in fact the president can not appear in the court of law.

the president should not be arrested or detailed for any reason although when he step down from the power or corridor of power he may be apprehended. This also can not be said to be correct, I know you will agree with me to a large extended

Parliamentary Immunity:

The legislature are protected from any statement made in the floor of the house. Any statement made in the floor of the house by the legislature are protected by the law.

Riches and Affluence:

The rich can buy the rule of law. In fact, the rich can use their wealth to by justice.

The partial judges: Some judges are corrupt which can affect the discharge justice to favor the people that bribe them. In fact some judges are corrupt. This are the reasons why there should not be immunity for any.

Police Brutality:

the police often arrest and detailed the citizens without any prove of crime.

Bribering and corruption among the judges, politicians, etc.

How the Iranian Election Was Stolen

There is, perhaps, no greater potential for evil than the power of priests speaking in the name of God.

With this power, one Iranian Ayatollah, Mohammad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi -- the spiritual leader of President Ahmadinejad -- seems to have stolen the Iranian election, to have justified the now-ongoing arrests of reformers, and to be trying to eliminate such democracy in Iran as now exists.

According to an open letter of early June by a group of employees who work on elections in the Interior Ministry -- after May polls showed that Ahmadinejad would lose the election -- Yazdi gave the Interior Ministry employees a Fatwa, a religious degree, authorizing the changing of votes.

The Ayatollah told them: "If someone is elected the president and hurts the Islamic values . . . it is against Islam to vote for that person." After harshly criticizing the other candidates (Mousavi, Karroubi, and Rezaie) he went on: "You should throw away those who are unqualified, both morally and lawfully."

The letter reported that the elections' supervisors subsequently became "happy and energetic for having obtained the religious Fatwa to use any trick for changing the vote and began immediately to develop plans for it." (The letter indicated that the same thing had been done in March 2006 to help fundamentalists allied with Ahmadinejad in that election. But when the Interior Minister at that time, Mostafa Pourmohammadi, reported these irregularities to the Supreme Leader, he was fired by President Ahmadinejad.)

Among other things, the election supervisors reduced the number of voting stations, increased the number of mobile voting stations, reduced the number of eligible voters, insisted that vote-containing boxes must have two official seals, and printed 12,000,000 more ballots than were necessary.

Yazdi has been called the most conservative and influential cleric in Qom. He espouses complete isolation from the West and proclaims nonliteral interpretations of the Koran to be heretical. He is said to have great influence with the Revolutionary Guards and the Basiji paramilitary force. In 1997, he is said to have encouraged them to use any means, including violence, to stop reform agitation. In 2006, he said to use atomic bombs had religious legitimacy. Above all, he would like to eliminate the democratic element in the Iranian system.

Now, following four years of appointments made by President Ahmadinejad, Yazdi has many loyal supporters in the Government, including the head of the election commission.

A perfect political storm has arisen in Iran. Ironically, May polls showing that democracy might prevail in Iran have created conditions that could lead to the loss of such democracy as exists in Iran.

A weird president, mentored by a fundamentalist Ayatollah, may now use ongoing arrests to eliminate, politically if not physically, his reform opposition and then govern by repression. Recent unconfirmed reports suggest that Mohammad Asgari, an interior ministry official who had reportedly leaked evidence that the elections were rigged, has been killed in a suspicious car accident in Tehran.

Nonviolent opposition is the only answer. And protests are, after all, widespread and not only in Tehran. They have spread to Isfahan, Ahwaz, Shiraz, Gorgan, Tabriz, Rasht, Babol, Mashhad, Zahedan, Qazvin, Sari, Karaj, Tabriz, Shahsavar, Orumieh, Bandar Abbas, Arak, and Birjend. Many of these cities do not have riot police. The revolutionary guards and the Basiji have to be dispatched to many sites -- and an order to crack down everywhere could be more than the authorities would dare.

The Iranian reform movement is trying to seize the high ground, to avoid violence, and to appeal to the forces of repression not to use force. With the world watching, and with so many new techniques of communication, it may be that the reformers can give the authorities a run for their money. But it will take an awful lot of Iranian courage and ingenuity to make it work.

Where there is a will, there is always a way. Determination is the fire that burns out resistance. It is one of the greatest keys of success. The moment a man decides to be determined to carry a task through to the finish, it appears a new strenght flows from heaven to assist him to success. He knows no other language than victory! No wonder, Napoleon Bonaparte said, “The truest wisdom is a resolute determination.”
Be determined as you reach for success. Your victory is just tucked down your will. One of George Washington Carver’s favorite poems says it beautifully:

Figure it out for yourself, my lad,

You've all that the greatest of men have had,

Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes

And a brain to use if you would be wise.

With this equipment they all began,

So start for the top and say, "I can."

Look them over, the wise and great

They take their food from a common plate,

Controlling Dreams

Lucid Dreaming
There is a lot of research being done in dream control, particularly in the areas of lucid dreaming and dream incubation. Lucid dreaming is a learned skill and occurs when you are dreaming, you realize you are dreaming and you are able to then control what happens in your dream -- all while you're still asleep.

Being able to control your dreams would be a very cool thing to be able to do, but it is a difficult skill that usually takes special training. It is estimated that fewer than 100,000 people in the United States have the ability to have lucid dreams.

Although lucid dreaming is mentioned throughout history, it was not until 1959 at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University that an effective technique for inducing lucid dreams was developed, and true research into the phenomenon began taking place. In 1989, Paul Tholey, a German dream researcher who had been involved in the research at that university, wrote a paper about a technique he was studying to induce lucid dreams. It was called the reflection technique, and it involved asking yourself throughout the day if you were awake or dreaming. More research has indicated the need to practice recognizing odd occurrences, or dream signs, that would be a sign that "this is a dream" rather than reality.

Stephen LaBerge of Stanford University, founder of The Lucidity Institute, Lynne Levitan and other current dream researchers have studied lucid dreaming techniques extensively. They refer to a technique similar to Tholey's reflection method that they call "reality testing." This technique and one called MILD (Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams) have been among the most successful techniques for lucid dreaming.

The MILD technique involves similar reminders to the reality testing method but focuses those reminders at night rather than throughout the day and night. MILD begins with telling yourself when you go to bed that you'll remember your dreams. You then focus your attention on recognizing when you are dreaming and remembering that it is a dream. Then, you focus on reentering a recent dream and looking for clues that it is indeed a dream. You imagine what you would like to do within that dream. For example, you may want to fly, so you imagine yourself flying within that dream. You repeat these last two steps (recognizing when you're dreaming and reentering a dream) until you go to sleep. Using this technique, Dr. LaBerge has been able to have lucid dreams at will. Because this type of technique takes such mental training, however, LaBerge is now doing research using external stimuli to induce lucid dreams.

While lucid dreaming may just seem like a cool way to enter fantasy land, it also has several applications outside of recreation. According to LaBerge, for instance, lucid dreaming can help in personal development, enhancing self-confidence, overcoming nightmares, improving mental (and perhaps physical) health and facilitating creative problem solving. LaBerge also states on the Lucidity Web site:

Lucid dreaming could provide the handicapped and other disadvantaged people with the nearest thing to fulfilling their impossible dreams: paralytics could walk again in their dreams, to say nothing of dancing and flying, and even experience emotionally satisfying erotic fantasies. Such sensorimotor practice could conceivably facilitate recovery from stroke.

Finally, lucid dreaming can function as a "world simulator." Just as a flight simulator allows people to learn to fly in a safe environment, lucid dreaming could allow people to learn to live in any imaginable world; to experience and better choose among various possible futures.

Dream Incubation

Dream incubation is learning to plant a seed for a specific dream topic to occur. For example, you might go to bed repeating to yourself that you'll dream about a presentation you have coming up or a vacation you just took. Those who believe in problem solving through dreams use this technique to direct their dreams to the specific topic.

While somewhat similar to lucid dreaming in that problems can be solved, dream incubation is simply focusing attention on a specific issue when going to sleep. Several studies have shown this method to be successful over a period of time. For example, in a study at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Diedre Barrett had her students focus on a problem before going to sleep and found that it was certainly possible to come up with novel solutions in dreams that are both personally satisfying and reasonable to an outside observer. In her studies, two-thirds of participants had dreams that addressed their chosen problem, while one-third actually came up with solutions in their dreams.

Creativity and Inventions That Came From Dreams

Throughout history, inventors, writers, artists and scientists have solved problems in their dreams.

· Kekule, the German chemist who discovered the structure of the benzene molecule, had worked endlessly to figure it out. Then, in a dream, he saw snakes forming circles with their tales in their mouths. When he awoke, he realized that the benzene molecule, unlike all other known organic compounds, had a circular structure rather than a linear one.

· The inventor of the sewing machine, Elias Howe, had struggled in 1884 to figure out how the needle could work in a machine for sewing. In a dream, he found himself surrounded by native tribesmen with spears that had a hole in the point. When he woke up, he realized that a needle with a hole in the point would solve his problem.

· Mary Shelly, author of "Frankenstein," got the idea for the story from a dream.

· Edgar Allen Poe got inspiration from a dream featuring large luminous eyes for his story, "Lady Ligea."

· Many musicians, including Paul McCartney, Billy Joel andBeethoven, have found inspiration for their music from their dreams. Some hear musical arrangements in their dreams, while others hear lyrics.

· Golfer Jack Nicklaus found a new way to hold his golf club in a dream, which he credits as significantly improving his golf game.

What do our dreams mean?

Dreaming in Public

During the Roman Era, some dreams were submitted to the Senate for analysis and interpretation.

Those on the physiology side of the "why we dream" argument see dreams as only nonsense that the brain creates from fragments of images andmemory. For centuries, however, people have looked at their dreams as both omens and insights into their own psyches. Many think dreams are full of symbolic messages that may not be clear to us on the surface. But, if we dig deeper and think about what is going on in our lives, we can usually come up with an interpretation that makes sense. Let's look at the most common dream themes and how dream experts interpret them.

Common Dream Themes and Their Interpretations

· Being naked in public
Most of us have had the dream at some point that we're at school, work or some social event, and we suddenly realize we forgot to put on clothes! Experts say this means:

· We're trying to hide something (and without clothes we have a hard time doing that).

· We're not prepared for something, like a presentation or test (and now everyone is going to know -- we're exposed!).

If we're naked but no one notices, then the interpretation is that whatever we're afraid of is unfounded. If we don't care that we're naked, the interpretation is that we're comfortable with who we are.

· Falling
You're falling, falling, falling... and then you wake up. This is a very common dream and is said to symbolize insecurities and anxiety. Something in your life is essentially out of control and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Another interpretation is that you have a sense of failure about something. Maybe you're not doing well in school or at work and are afraid you're going to be fired or expelled. Again, you feel that you can't control the situation.

· Being chased
The ever-popular chase dream can be extremely frightening. What it usually symbolizes is that you're running away from your problems. What that problem is depends on who is chasing you. It may be a problem at work, or it may be something about yourself that you know is destructive. For example, you may be drinking too much, and your dream may be telling you that your drinking is becoming a real problem.

· Taking an exam (or forgetting that you have one)
This is another very common dream. You suddenly realize you are supposed to be taking an exam at that very moment. You might be running through the hallways and can't find the classroom. This type of dream can have several variations that have similar meanings. (Maybe your pen won't write, so you can't finish writing your answers.) What experts say this may mean is that you're being scrutinized about something or feel you're being tested -- maybe you're facing a challenge you don't think you're up to. You don't feel prepared or able to hold up to the scrutiny. It may also mean there is something you've neglected that you know needs your attention.

· Flying
Many flying dreams are the result of lucid dreaming. Not all flying dreams are, however. Typically, dreaming that you are flying means you are on top of things. You are in control of the things that matter to you. Or, maybe you've just gained a new perspective on things. It may also mean you are strong willed and feel like no one and nothing can defeat you. If you are having problems maintaining your flight, someone or something may be standing in the way of you having control. If you are afraid while flying, you may have challenges that you don't feel up to.

· Running, but going nowhere
This theme can also be part of the chasing dream. You're trying to run, but either your legs won't move or you simply aren't going anywhere -- as if you were on a treadmill. According to some, this dream means you have too much on your plate. You're trying to do too many things at once and can't catch up or ever get ahead.

· Your teeth falling out
Many people have dreams that they lose all of their teeth. In this dream, they may feel something strange in their mouth and then spit teeth into their hand, eventually losing all of their teeth. According to some, our teeth are related to our sense of power and our ability to communicate. Losing our teeth not only makes us embarrassed by our appearance, which hinders our communications, but it also lessens our power because we may not speak our minds. It's also associated with feelings about our appearance.

Recurring Dreams and Nightmares

Many people have the same or a similar dream many times, over either a short period of time or their lifetime. Recurring dreams usually mean there is something in your life you've not acknowledged that is causing stress of some sort. The dream repeats because you have not corrected the problem. Another theory is that people who experience recurring dreams have some sort of trauma in their past they are trying to deal with. In this case, the dreams tend to lessen with time.

Nightmares are dreams that are so distressing they usually wake us up, at least partially. Nightmares can occur at any age but are seen in children with the most frequency. Nightmares usually cause strong feelings of fear, sadness or anxiety. Their causes are varied. Some medications cause nightmares (or cause them if you discontinue the medication abruptly). Traumatic events also cause nightmares.

Treatment for recurring nightmares usually starts with interpreting what is going on in the dream and comparing that with what is happening in the person's life. Then, the person undergoes counseling to address the problems that are presumably causing the nightmare. Some sleep centers offer nightmare therapy and counseling. Another method of treating nightmares is through lucid dreaming. Through lucid dreaming, the dreamer can confront his or her attacker and, in some cases, end the nightmares.

Night Terrors

Unlike nightmares that occur during REM sleep, night terrors occur during non-REM sleep, usually in the first cycle of the deepest phase of sleep (within the first hour or two of going to bed). Night terrors can last anywhere from five to 20 minutes. People having a night terror are still asleep but may look like they are awake. For example, they may sit up in bed screaming with their eyes wide open. When they actually do wake up, they usually have no memory of the episode (although some people do remember them). Night terrors occur most frequently in children, but adults can also experience them.

Premonitions in Dreams

The science of dreams is obviously not a clear-cut one. While many believe our dreams mean something, there are also many who don't. But what about dreams that have foretold future events? Has this simply been coincidence? Below are some examples of dreams that have reportedly done just that.

· In "Lucid Dreaming," Stephen LaBerge reports that a man took his small son camping near a lake in a small valley near their home. He took the son to the water's edge to take a bath but realized he had forgotten the soap. He left the boy standing by the edge of the water and saw him picking up pebbles and throwing them into the water. When he returned with the soap, his son was lying face down in the water, dead. The man awoke and immediately realized this was only a dream. A while after that, some friends invited him and his son to go camping. Although it didn't occur to him immediately, the setting was similar to the setting he had seen in his dream. At one point during the camping trip, he took his son to the lake to take a bath but realized he had forgotten the soap. He sat the boy down and was leaving to get the soap when he saw the boy reach down and pick up pebbles to throw into the water. His dream immediately jumped into his head, and he snatched the boy up and took him with him.

· There is an investment group made up of people who have precognitive dreams aboutstocks. Phenomena Magazine: Precognitive Stock Market Dreamers (November 1, 2004) reports that Dr. Arthur Bernard, a psychologist who teaches dreamwork and a member of the group, had a very successful experience. He had a recurring dream about an obscure biotech stock called ICOS. In the dream, he saw the stock suddenly explode in value. Because of the intensity of the dream, he felt sure that this dream was precognitive. He bought about 40,000 shares of ICOS at $4 per share. He sold his shares in 1998 at $28 each, amounting to an approximate $1.6 million profit.

· Science Frontiers Online: Precognitive Dreams (Nov-Dec 1998) reports that M.S. Stowell, in her doctoral dissertation, interviewed several people who claimed to have precognitive dreams. Of 51 presumed precognitive dreams, Stowell was able to prove that 37 had indeed come true. One report from a woman named Elizabeth told of a dream about a plane crashing on a highway near an overpass. Elizabeth was driving her car on that highway at the time and could see that the plane was going to crash there as she drove under the overpass. In her dream, she just escaped the plane. Within a few weeks, a plane crashed on the highway she had dreamt about.

Ongoing Dream Research and Therapy
Research in various areas of dreaming is ongoing, particularly in the areas of REM sleep and lucidity. One study in lucid dreaming involves trying to get the dreamer to communicate with observers while he or she is dreaming. Stephen LaBerge, who is at the forefront of lucid dreaming research, has successfully achieved communication through eye movements, but of course this type of communication is very limited. His ongoing work involves dreamers wearing a glove that incorporates movement sensors to record hand movements during sleep. By using sign language, they hope be able to get reports of dreams as they are occurring.

One day, perhaps we'll all be able to control our dreams or even share our dreams with others while we sleep.

Societal Value Erosion

Its' impossible to say. In fact, the question, "Why?" is quite impossible to answer well. IF society is weaking (and that itself can be contested) then we must ask, "WHY is it weakening?" What are the causes? They are legion. Perhaps decaying morality is one of them, but certainly not the only one. You can't do that with history; you can't just stick your opinions in and say, "Okay: here is what caused the decay of this society". History isn't a series of class struggles, history isn't an eternal progression, history isn't a perfect narrative flow, history isn't a conflict of ideologies. History is a combination of the life stories of billions upon billions of people.

The decay of moral values certainly DOES erode the strength of our society because morals, for better or for worse, are a strengthener. Now, whether society OUGHT to be strong or not is also contestable. As they say, "power corrupts", and strength is power. But, by very definition, to erode at one's moral code is to erode at one's strength. So, yes, the erosion of moral values erodes society.

Value Erosion

Even if we accept one percent truth in recent scams surfaced in India, still it points to value erosion making its irrevocable impact at the societal level. Of course, there was not a period in history of mankind when such scenario was not present and there will be no utopian social structure where corruption can completely absent. This is because the human societies exist on the foundation of duality alone - good and bad, corruption and honesty, and pain and pleasure.

This does not mean that we become helpless, cynic or escapists. To accept the reality and truth helps us to plan our strategy to come out of such predicaments. Many intellectuals, social workers and scientists try to tackle the problem of erosion of values by directing their efforts and energy in improving the outer or external situation in the hope that given the improved surrounding the feeling of insecurity might be overcome and the individual would pursue his innate inclination to lead value oriented life. The idealistic philosophy on the other hand prompts a few others to look within, to realize the source for his/her actions and change his reactions to external perceptions in the hope that such a change would bring about virtues of selflessness and truthfulness. Both these approaches call for conscious and deliberate efforts; and the lack of such effort is the main reason for our drifting with the tide today.

In so far as Upanishads advocate both paths of Abhyudaya (social welfare) andNihshreyasa (renunciation), these two prevailing social currents are welcome. Man must struggle with his own mind, for an undisciplined and uncontrolled mind is the cause of these innumerable problems, both at individual and collective level. At no time in life can one escape the constant bombardment of sense organs with impulses from surrounding sense objects. Visual, auditory, gustatory, and
olfactory senses are constantly being stimulated by the impulses from the various objects, both living and non-living, surrounding us. The mind receives these stimuli and becomes disturbed like a lake. In such a lake, muddled with thousands of shaky waves, the reflection of true Self appears broken and distorted. The sun of Truth cannot be seen in such an agitated lake of mind.

Thus, we feel an intense need to run away from ourselves, which is commonly referred to as alienation. However, where can one run away! Where can the soul take refuge! For, wherever a man tries to hide, and seek some solace, the mind accompanies him. The agitated mind makes a forest dweller, a slum dweller, and a person living in an ivory tower equally restless.

Thence, the concept of 'unity in diversity' and 'karma yoga' surfaces occasionally in the teachings of some great seers who have fully controlled their minds. To see the unifying Self in all the diverse groups and serve the Self in them all is the true meaning of karma yoga. However, the social workers and organizations do not take such broad view in their activities. In fact, there is no absolute need of an organization to carry out yoga of selfless action. In whatever field one has chosen to work, or indeed is forced to work, that activity can be sublimated to the higher position of yoga. A clerk or an officer in an office can think of serving the people in the queue outside his window by effectively attending to their needs and solving their problems; a farmer or a laborer can similarly take the worshipful attitude towards mother earth or temple of the factory. Such a conscious and deliberate attitude towards work as 'worship' is the remedy for the feeling of estrangement and corruption.

Building of such an attitude, and a society, is possible, but it depends upon the will of the people, both holding high offices and ordinary folks without political or economical clout. Of course, the values trickle from the one who has cultivated and stored them in his/her personality. Thus, it is necessary and imperative that everyone struggles to imbibe and express values of selflessness, compassion, truthfulness and generosity in his character in howsoever small degree it may be possible for him. This is essential because unless we see the values as personified in someone else we cannot understand their utility. We see that the value-based life is calm and serene, without agitation and restlessness, pure and respectful, and thus try to seek the same for us also. Hence, it becomes essential to broadcast the beneficial impact of virtues on the individual and the society as a whole. In course of time, the truth is sure to blossom in the life of true karma yogi that all values have their source at the Highest Truth, the Atman, residing in every heart.

But it isn't by a long shot the only thing weakening our society.

TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE IN AFRICA

In Nigeria there are three different kind of marriage which includes:
1. Traditional Marriage
2. Court Marriage
3. White Wedding (Church/Islamic)

All these three are important to some individual or as many as want to, though; it is not a force for you to either have one or all of the above. But some individual prefer to have all. lol

1. TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE is the local marriage between two individual that may be of the same language or the other way around, it is the most important kind of marriage in Nigeria. This marriage is like giving honor to the Parent of the Bride and at the same time a show of style to the Groom. Africans takes it seriously when it comes to traditional marriage especially the female. The style in this marriage is very flamboyant in dressing and in all activities, in short Africans takes this as the really marriage while respecting the white wedding as respect for God authority over them. In this marriage there is a lot of stylist cloths which the Bride and the Groom wears.

2. COURT MARRIAGE: this is a system of marriage where the bride and the Groom goes to Magistrate Court to register themselves as husband and wife, it is normally of a low key and very important, like nowadays Africans now respect it, and it is of vital important to them, as this is a legal marriage which protect and save guide whatever they will get to in the future. However it is not meant to cheat or oppress the male sex as some develop world countries does. It is something to protect both sides for now. We hope it will not be used in the future to bread wickedness.

3. WHITE WEDDING: this is the church kind of wedding which is normally done in the church with the pastor as the preacher of the day which also wed both sex together as husband and wife, there are no too much difference in this kind of marriage, since it is the same and common around the world.

Call it the zero point, ice point or neutral point; but I know that “the zero point is the mid-point where negative and positive meet”, the point where you either attract the negative or positive point. Some analyst have insisted or concluded that “one have to decide where to go, either negative or positive”, they also rely on the power of choice to make their conclusion, but they failed to know that a prisoner does not have the power of choice or a captive will always have a master; we have one way or the other become a captive to what we do, like, or for our wants and desires.

Life draw it’s meaning from the desires we place ourselves or drawn our hopes from; a man that depend on its own strength for survival will not do much as a man who depend on God for security and safety. My clue of life takes me to what I’m made of; my desires, how people perceive me, and their thought toward me; some have tried to hide their ways of life from me, some have tried to keep me in the dark about what activities they do, but I was made to know that “A man’s thought is like a town crier (a sounding brass) in the spiritual rhymes”, I have a Master in Psychology but not from any school, I believe I got this from God after reading His word; I read people’s actions and thought, though, I don’t have a way of knowing what they think exactly but their actions prove me right.

I believe in something others might find difficult to believe, unbelief blinds a man’s heart, when you believe, all things are open to you. This takes me to a life of inward thought, where the power of the mind operate, I desire great things for myself and those around me, but I find out that they do not understand me, but rather plan evil for me including an ambush that can send me to abase level, but I know their plans will not work wrong for me, rather good, because I was made to know that “all things work for good to them that are the called according to His will and to them that loved Him.”

Lesson 2 on Forgiveness

Read Matthew 5:23-24; Luke 11:2-4

- Jesus Christ taught on forgiveness

- Without forgiveness there is no act of worship

- Unforgiving spirit build a wall of barrier between you and God, you and your fellow brothers/sisters.

- Offering given with an unforgiving heart is not accepted by God. It stops God’s blessings upon your life even when you are faithful in other areas. James 2:9-10.

Forgiveness is at the heart of the Christian faith. The Greek word for forgiveness is pronounced “O apse a mi O”. The word means to send away, to dismiss, to depart. The Bible affirms that our God is loving and forgiving. Read Exo. 34:6-7; Luke 15:32

Jesus Christ on the Cross still prayed. Read Luke 23:34. The climax of God’s forgiveness is reached in the life, death & resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ often called that we forgive those who wrong us. Matthew 6:12, 15; 18:21-35; Mark 11:25; Luke 6:37; 17:4; Col. 3:13.

As Christians we are called to forgive as God has forgiven us, and it should come from the heart. Read Matthew 18:21, 22, 35. We should forgive for the sake of our own well-being and inner peace.

POSER:

Forgiveness includes making of no account the sin which has been committed, (Read Mk. 2:5; John 8:11), and the acceptance of the sinner (Luke 15:20-24; Col. 1:13), deliverance from the dominion of the powers & transference to the Kingdom of God Christ, to whom a new life is given and with it the promise of eternal life (Luke 23:43; Matthew 5:43-48; John 14:19).

A FOUR-FOLD SEQUENCE IN FORGIVENESS

1. An offense is committed

2. A rebuke is given by the offended party

3. The offender repents

4. The offended person extends forgiveness

1. We receive forgiveness from God when we repent of our sins.

2. We should only forgive the offender when he/she repents

3. It is not saying forgive us because we forgive others, but Lord just as we forgive others when they repent; please forgive us as we now repent.

4. If we withhold forgiveness when people repent, God will withhold forgiveness when we confess to Him.

Sin destroys our relationship with God, so forgiveness takes the central place in Christ proclamation as the means whereby this relationship is restored. Forgiveness stands as the action of God in the face of the sinful behavior of man, and is based on Christ (Col. 1:14; Eph. 1:7), whose power to forgive sins is made know in preaching (Luke 24:27; Acts 10:42ff; 13:38)

Poser: As true believers should we go ahead to forgive people who offended us even if they have not repented? Explain.

CONCLUSION

Let us forgive as the offender repents, if the offender does not come, we can go to him/her. If I say our government lead by Yar’Adua is insincere about the plight of the Niger-Delta people, someone will say give him sometime, but what an insincere government, what a deluded government, who is bent on deceiving the people of the Niger-Delta.

Commitment comes from the physical attribute of an individual, for instance the commitment to development can only be shown through the amount of time and money committed to such development, in terms of the infrastructure in place.

Yar’Adua’s government budgeted 400 billion naira for security in the Niger-Delta and at the same time budgeted 79 billion naira for physical infrastructural development in the Niger-Delta, please permit me to ask “which will help the people? Which is needed by the people? What are the people agitating for? What are the weapons going to do for the people? Can you resolve a conflict by killing the same people who have been throw into injustice and degradation for many years?”

With these the people of the Niger-Delta area have come to know that the federal government lead by Yar’Adua is another way of injustice and suppression of the people of the Niger-Delta whose land and resources is the economic mainstream and power of the nation, accounting for almost if not all that we have and can get especially now that oil price has skyrocketed to $149 per barrel.

What the people of the Niger-Delta is yenning for is development. But why the weapons and security? Give them what they want and you will need no security.

The Federal government of Nigeria is like the devil; when you ask for food he gives you stone instead of food; when you ask for peace he give you destruction. But let me be clear that I have stayed in the Niger-Delta for years and that the place is very very horrible and underdeveloped especially when you get to the deep areas of the ijaws. And I know that there is no amount of security that can help the federal government than development, so if the government is putting 400 billion naira for weapons (security) and 79 billion for physical infrastructural development it means there won’t be peace except the figure is re-arranged to meet the yenning of the people.

Please Yar’Adua give our people what they need not destruction cause it won’t work

My eyes go deem, my mouth stop moving, my leg shaking, and the world rotating around me; this was how I felt the first time I saw a beautiful Angel. I was at the Pam Shopping centre in Liki Lagos with my friend James for weekend shopping when I meet this beautiful Angel. My friend said “you haven’t seen anything but beauty in your eyes (my own way)”.

I immediately confronted him “what you mean by that”. His reply was that “she is not as pretty as you acting out”. Well ahead, this thought came into my heart “One man’s food another man’s Poison”. Could he be right? or I might as well be dreaming of him saying that to me or maybe he wants the girl and trying to deceive me out of his way?

Well I was wrong my friend seems to be uninterested, and I could be well dreaming of the beauty; another thought then said within me to give it a trial.

Finally I tried and was amazed by the well arranged articulated speech my beauty reply with, “good afternoon, I saw you and your friend steering at me all day, waz up with you, and how could I be of a good help to you” I gave an instance reply “many ways my dear, but first your name” “Angel” I then look at my friend (James) what he could be doing right then after greetings from my beauty, his resolved remained unchanged. I then hop into discussion with my beauty, oh my good God she was amazing as the pounded yam that my Mum prepared for my Dad which happened to be my best food, but my other brothers seems to dislike it. I then concluded the saying “One man’s food and another man’s poison”.

How correct is this statement? How compelling does it sounds in your ears? To say a little but delusional! As this only implies when someone dislike what others like, does it means that since my friend don’t like my beauty, it now means she is poisonous to him or have we gone too far foolish to conclude without elaborate reasoning. Does it means; if I dislike what others love, it becomes poisonous to me. However this last paragraph was written to provoke you to react.

Mensah put his hand up, “Buhari, 1984.” At that point, a student in the back scornfully said, “Hmmm, you think you are smart.” The Lecturer glared and asked, “ All right! The best gift you can give to yourself is forgiveness. It is a release from the burden of anger and pain, when you choose to forgive; you choose to live in the present and the future and not in the past. Forgiveness does not happen on its own, you must choose to forgive. What is your reaction to this? You can only forgive others if the love of God is in your heart. Forgiveness is the Character of God; this implies that every person who has resolved for God and His eternal home must possess this character because it is not the person living but Christ living in him/her. HOW TRUE DOES THESE SOUNDS IN YOUR EARS

I have grown to hear people use unnecessary language/words/phrase/sentence that is on called for. Some even go far to brand the Saint part to the Devil himself just like the one above. Why would someone say he trust the Devil of all people than a saint or an Angel of God that was sent to help you or save you?

I have come to the conclusion that they don’t know what they say or have said, yes am of the opinion that most of them don’t know what they say at all. I don’t think most of them do if they do, it means they don’t know what is faith, because the concept of faith states that “you don’t have to know or see before believing/trust; the ability of one to trust another without prior notice is called faith, may be faith in that person, at least according to the CUD & OAL. A faithless individual is like a Military man without weapon in a war field or a man without direction. Faith directs a man and input hopes on its ways.

I feel in my heart that we have gone too far in many things including the way we talk and act, but at the same time we can correct ourselves if only we can learn from each other’s mistakes. I am of the opinion that an unknown Angel of God can be trusted than any kind or property of the Devil or even the Devil itself. I believe we can correct ourselves if only we will accept our mistakes and click onto the correct once.

So I conclude the saying that

Man Jailed 54 years for $350,000 fraud

Kayode Ketefe of the Punch Newspaper of Nigerian reported that Justice Joseph Oyewole of the High Court of Lagos, Ikeja Division, Nigeria, on Friday, senticed Christian Mbagwu to 54 years imprisonment for defrauding a Saudi Arabian businessman, Mr. Hassan Satoohi.

The court also mandated him to return $32,000 as restitution to the victim of the crime.

Mbagwu had been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission of Nigeria together with Emmanuel Oguine on a 34-count charge that borders on conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretences and forgery.

The offences are contrary to sections 516, 419, 467 and 468 of the Criminal Code Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2003.

Mbagwu’s conviction came after the accused changed his plea of “not guilty” to “guilty”. After accepting his plea of guilt, the court sentenced him to five years on each of the first 32 counts while sentencing him to two years each on each of the remaining two offences.

The terms of the sentence were to run concurrently, indicating that Mbagwu would only spend five years in prison. The sentence was also made to start running from February 2005 – the date his first arrest. In the charge, Mbagwu was alleged to have collaborated with Oguine and obtained about $350,000 from Satoohi between 2002 and 2005.

Mbagwu was said to have obtained the money in numerous tranches from Satoohi whom he deceived to part with the sum by claiming that he had $30m in secret account and that he would transfer the sum into Satoohi foreign account under some bogul deal.

To facilitate the fraud, the convict also forged a “contractor’s certificate of registration” and purported it to have been issued by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

Every company should build their product base on good perception of the public and a good image of the company should never be toy with. An image of any company that wants to grow should be built on public perception that is acceptable.

I think it is very important what the public thinks about your product/company, as this can play a big role in making your company people oriented company and when this happens, the sky will not be your limit. When an image of a company is build base on the perception that prevail in a society, it should always be noted that perceptions sometimes changes and that check and balances should always be put in plans to check this trend and that will be nice especially to individual product of the company and the customers which is the public.

What makes your product stand out, is that business ethics you hold dearly to your heart, and by the time you falter, it may bring down your relationship with the unknown customers that admires your product, so when you feel like making a change to your product/company try to carry your client or customers along. As these will create a loving perception that your company is friendly and caring.

Dreams are picked from the inner thought of man, what is a dream? Dream from the Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary is defined as a series of events or images that happen in your mind when you are sleeping. While Encarta Dictionaries defined it as followed:

1. sequence of mental images during sleep: a sequence of images that appear involuntarily to the mind of somebody who is sleeping, often a mixture of real and imaginary characters, places, and events

2. daydream: a series of images, usually pleasant ones, that pass through the mind of somebody who is awake

3. something hoped for: something that somebody hopes, longs, or is ambitious for, usually something difficult to attain or far removed from present circumstances

4. idle hope: an idea or hope that is impractical or unlikely ever to be realized

5. vague state: a state of inattention owing to preoccupation with thoughts or fantasies · walks around in a dream

6. something beautiful: somebody or something that seems particularly good-looking or wonderful

But first I want to duel more on the 3^rd definition (something hoped for). I believe every one have the right to define any way he/she may want it to be, but I will restrict my definition to what I have read from the past definitions and from some other scientist myopic mind set. I believe dreams are very important to every day life, I mean as we grow old and become godly or righteous and of more understanding, observing and kindhearted to every thing we do, including having ears that have a clearer hearing, I mean sense and wisdom, as we become more close to the owner of life or more vibrant to hearing from our innermost self, we will come to understand what dreams really mean, or by the time you now understand that there are clue to every thing you do, and will encounter in the future, or less say what you will experience the next minutes, day or few years to come; and then this understanding will come to you that “oh I have not being looking well, if I have been looking well, there are clue to every thing in life”.

Dreams are more or less than you think; it is the subconscious state of the mind. There is day dream and a night or sleeping dream. A day dream occurs when an imagination occurs in the innermost mind of an individual depending on that individual affiliation. He may be a Christian or any other person depending on how that person gets his inspiration. Some can even build a great corporation in their mind while walking on the road; some while reading or looking at something, but it all plays down to how that individual handle his dreams or inspiration. I believe such individual can be very creative if given the least or better opportunity.

A mind that can see beyond his nose is a great mind to behold; a creative mind is a great tool of development and when given the chance, the sky cannot be his/her limit.

A day dream, when well manage in the right direction, it can create lead to a resource for all fields of life.

A dream that is well managed can help an individual to be conscious of his activities during the day and night.

I am of the opinion that dreams are vital part of life and that without dream there will be clashes of thought.

A myopic and short circuit mind does not have understanding of the spirit nor could he/she see beyond his/her nose. I feel the fear of God when involve in or on anything in life. Life is full of Expectation and that things you don’t understand are more than the one you do understand, here calls for the mind of the Spirit, cause it is written “who knows the mind of God, but the Spirit’,(1 Cor. 2:11-12) who also revealed all things to us but how will He the Spirit reveal to us the things of God without communication; if communication, how, when, where, ok through His word when reading the scriptures and how will He guide us, oh through talking to us through our heart, oh sometimes you can hear Him through our ears, oh sometimes He talks to us through Dreams, as Jacob while sleeping, oh yes God speak to us through Dreams, now we know Dreams are relevance to us, since it is a means of communication between God and the prophet, Children of God and the nations, therefore I say Dreams are relevance.

How true can these words be, have you ever had a second thought about these? And what are your responds to it, are you one of those that “let be to live”? Do you have a dream to conquer the world? Do you leave in the past? Do you have a burning desire to achieve your dreams? A real reason makes people to leave a wrong life. A life that runs on water is stronger than the one that runs without water.

A real man is determined by his submission to others (especially to Jesus Christ). A man without dream is like a try without leaves. A child that does not have teeth his elder once will help him out. A warrior’s eyes sees far than a normal person. He who has travel is better than a man that lives long without traveling. He who can rule his mind is stronger than a man who takes a mighty city.

A wise son makes his father proud. Pride goes before destruction. Lagging heart is bitter than bitterroot. An important person is known by his words. The truth can not be hidden for too long. A tight lap is dangerous to the owner. Where there are many advisers there is safety. A better understanding makes a man to excel than his peers. The righteous considers a thing before taking an action. Lack of understanding makes someone foolish. Too many mistakes lead to a great failure. My eyes can’t see a long distance; you need a pair of glasses. I am losing it, you need a new strategy. I am tied, you need a rest. I can’t continue, you need a break for continuity. Every body is not saying well of me, you need somebody to tell you about your behaviour and need new friends; find a place in God through Jesus Christ. I look a bit sock, you need self image.

This life is all about forgiveness, and that without forgiveness, it will be difficult to continue on some ground. I believe tomorrow is greater than today, I believe we will see things greater than the once we’ve seen. I believe we can be better than this. I have hope for tomorrow and that yesterday will not determine mine tomorrow, and life is full of hope and the future is brighter than yesterday.

Oh! Life without cracks, dreams of realities, hopes and pains, laughter and journey, death and life, admonitions and sorrow, better still we are here to go ahead.

Believe it or not this is a question for you and me.

Why does God keep silent in the mist of trouble?

But here is the answer to you in form of question:

Do you listen to advice from people around you?

Do you listen to your thought or inner most mind and follow the righteous thought that comes from it?

Have you ever had quite time thinking about God and things He had done?

If you had be doing all these, then you will no that God has not been silent to you.

Sometimes, God speaks to us in the mist of the storms, but we are so busy thinking about our problems that we forget, God is bigger than our problems that we are facing.

Some of us think about things irrelevant to the situation at hand and some have forgotten the scripture word or the word of God;

Isaiah 43:1-6 that said:

“1 ¶ But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.

2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

3 For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

4 Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.

5 Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west;

Even in the mist of the storms, He said, He will be with you and that the storm will not overtake you. And he went further to say in verse 7 that He has created you for glory.

What you are expected of is to think about Him, I mean what God is saying about your situation and you should be able to hear from Him and be able to understand what He is saying to you that might help you out of that situation, because I know He has prepared something for you that will take you out of that situation and He is telling or showing you how to do it. ask it is written in the book of

All am saying to you, is that God is telling you something, I mean in that storm now God is saying something to you, please listen to Him and be filled of His word, God will not leave His own, Jesus said my sheep knows me; (John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.)

You should be able to let God into your life, when I mean your life am talking about your activities, like some will say “I have received Jesus in to my life and His my Lord and Saviour.” Do you know what it means for someone to be your Lord, have you ever read or know the meaning of lord?

From the dictionary definition of Lord:

powerful man: a man who has considerable power, authority, or influence over others, e.g. a business tycoon

master: a master, ruler, or head of a household, or a woman's husband regarded as her master.

Is Jesus the head of your decision making, is Jesus your ruler, is Jesus your master, does Jesus have authority over your life decision, over your business, over your finances and over everything you do?

To receive Jesus Christ as your Lord, you most allow Him to be all the above and that you should cast you care upon Him and let Him do it for you, make Him the purpose of your life and make Him have dominion over you and your properties and all around you.

Let Him take the critical decision of your life, let all your hope and trust rest in Him, make Him the bride winner of your home, let Him be with you while you are working, while you are eating, while you are making business decisions and all that concerns you. God want to share in all that you do every day of your life.

Let God be your strength, depend on Him, He love you to depend on Him as a son or daughter will depend on a father.

God never keep silent and He will never keep silent in your situation. As it written in book of Matthew 28:20b “:and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

God will not be silent with you or in your case.

be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the lord will

fight my case and I shall hold my peace. I don't need any telephone

communication in this regard because of my health, and because of the

presence of my husband's relatives around me always. I don't want them to

know about this development. With God all things are possible. As soon as

I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the

Finance/Security Company and Certificate of Deposit which you will need to claim

the consignment.

I will also issue you a letter of authority that will empower you as

the original- beneficiary of this fund. I want you and the church to

always pray for me because the lord is my shepherd. My happiness is that

I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that wants to serve the

Do not fall a victim

LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP

Looking before leaping is a common term or phrase used by some group of people that believes “they want to see or taste before believing or accepting”

It is very common with unbelieving generation due to that nature they have in them (see before believing). This very nature also played itself out during the days of the Lord Jesus Christ, I mean after the resurrection; Apostle Thomas requested to see and touch before believing that Jesus Christ is ALIVE

John 20:24-29
24Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!"
But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it."

26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

28Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

29Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

But look before you leap is also used mostly by groups in the society (groups such as Parents) to warn their child especially male child (mostly African). This groups believes that “there should be some sort of guarantee from the opposite sex before getting into contract”, without which (I mean the guarantee), there wont be any form of marriage.

This mostly affect the opposite sex (female), but the most surprising thing about all these, is that the perpetrators of this art are women (mother-in-law to be); as they believed that seeing their daughter-in-law to be pregnant is the only guarantee they need to give their son out for marriage or their concept (approval). – Which bring us to our topic – do you Look before you leap?

On my owe\n aspect I will want people to use these phrase with little caution for our society to grow better and integrate better for the future.

From all I have said so far, you will agree with me that most people or groups used these words in the wrong light or atmosphere.
